about

This is a song that did not want to be made. I have been trying to put this tune into the world since 2016, and it seemed like all the universe conspired to prevent that from happening. Fittingly, the song itself is about the mystery of perseverance. I have nearly given up on music a dozen times over the past few years and each time, something calls me back to creating. I don’t know if that means I'm on the right path, or totally delusional, but something is telling me to keep trying.

lyrics

Suddenly, light into the darkness
Everyone was calling my name
Everything that I wanted was in my hands
But everything I knew had changed

On my worst days, I am hungry for it
And don't want to wake up

Oh, is it vision or truth
Desperation or proof
That tells me to see this through

Every day a crawl towards creation
Hoping something meets me there
Even when I am feeling good for nothing
Broken down afraid and bare

I think about all that came before me
And all that will one day be

Oh, is it vision or truth
Desperation or proof
That tells me to see this through

Is it ever enough?
Is it ever enough?
