about

This song is about realizing that the world is bigger, more wild, and more beautiful than your beliefs and point of view can accommodate. So, you slip into limbo while trying to reconstruct something that fits what you know to be true about the world. This is not a song of despair or resignation, but a song of hope. May our understanding and compassion always grow deeper, and may there always be room to realize you were mistaken and begin again.

lyrics

I could believe when I was younger
Everything wrong would be made right
That was before I knew the hunger
Staring into an empty sky

Oh I don’t know how
I’ll ever find something to believe in now
Oh I don’t know how
I’ll ever find something to believe in now

To believe in now
To believe in, to believe in, right now
To believe in now
To believe in, to believe in, right now

Things seemed to change as I grew older
Everything I could once call home
Suddenly felt a little colder
Falling into the great unknown

Oh I don’t know how
I’ll ever find something to believe in now
Oh I don’t know how
I’ll ever find something to believe in now

To believe in now
To believe in, to believe in, right now
To believe in now
To believe in, to believe in, right now
